Last Updated on March 27, 2024 by Kelly
We recently spent a week at the WorldMark Indio, and we were super impressed with the accommodations and activities. In this post, we’re sharing our full review of our recent stay at the WorldMark Indio. We’re including lots of photos as well as our personal opinions.
The WorldMark Indio is a collection of hotel rooms and vacation apartments located in southern California. The resort is a true oasis near Palm Springs. With lush landscaping, numerous swimming pools, and lots of amenities, the WorldMark Indio is the perfect place to relax.
About the WorldMark Indio Resort
The WorldMark Indio has a variety of accommodations: studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom, and 4-bedroom suites. We personally stayed in a 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment with a full kitchen. We found the condo to be spacious and clean. The best part was the large balcony!

Room Tour of Our Condo
We stayed in Building 14 on the third floor in a 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo. In addition to the two bedrooms, there was also a murphy bed in the living room that could accommodate more people.
The condo easily accommodated our family of 5.
Our condo also had a washer and dryer in one of the closets.
The condo had a full kitchen, which we greatly appreciated. Because we stayed there an entire week, we used the kitchen often to cook breakfast, store snacks, and prepare lunch. We spent most afternoons at the pool, so it was really convenient to just head back to the room for a quick lunch before returning to the pool.
The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Our unit was recently renovated which was nice. The only thing I would have wanted was to have more outlets in the bedroom. (These days we travel with so many things that need to be charged.)
The living space was comfortable. It was nice being able to have a couch and chairs to give us a little extra space.
My favorite thing about our condo was the balcony! The balcony was quite large, and it easily held a dining table and four chairs.
The best part was the view of the pond! From our room, we were able to see turtles and lots of birds each day visit the pond.
Amenities at the WorldMark Indio
I was especially impressed by the numerous amenities provided by the resort. I’ve stayed at many hotels over the years, and the WorldMark Indio had everything we could possibly need.
We also found the resort to be extremely family-friendly. With so many activities on-site, there were many days where we didn’t need to leave the resort at all.
We were provided wrist bands at check-in that electronically opened our room as well as the gates to most of the amenities.

Swimming Pools
The WorldMark Indio has a primary swimming pool and secondary swimming pool. Both are large pools that have plenty of seating and shaded tables. We found the primary swimming pool to be more busy each day. (Likely due to its location next to the Lazy River.) We spent most of our time at the secondary swimming pool because it tended to be a bit more quiet. Both the primary and secondary pools also have hot tubs.
Children’s Pools
Both the primary pool and secondary pool have accompanying children’s pools. The pools were shallow, and both of them had shaded canopies partially covering the water. I was impressed with the size of the children’s pools. Both pools were really large, and my daughter spent hours “swimming” around them.
Lazy River
The WorldMark Indio even has a lazy river! When we visited, there was a lifeguard present to help supervise the loading and unloading of inner tubes. We waited just a few minutes for an open inner tube, and then we enjoyed floating around the river. There’s one portion of the lazy river that has misters, which was perfect for a hot day.
Splash Fountains
At the secondary swimming pool area, there’s a large concrete play area where splash fountains are located. We were able to turn them on with a timer located near the gate. Our daughter loved running through the fountains!
Basketball Court
The WorldMark Indio has a basketball court as well. We saw plenty of folks using it during the week we stayed there.
Arcade
The WorldMark Indio also has an arcade/recreation room. There was ice hockey and ping pong tables, as well as plenty of arcade games. We purchased a pre-paid card that allowed us to use the different machines. The card kept track of the tickets we earned, and there was even a prize booth to redeem prizes. Our daughter loved it!
Playground
The shaded playground was a big hit with our family. It’s located right next to the secondary swimming pool. We spent a lot of time at the playground each day!
Putting Green
Next to the Lazy River is a shaded putting green.
BBQ Areas
There were multiple BBQ areas located throughout the park. We think it’s a great idea to stock up on groceries and then enjoy the grill.
Movie Theater Seating
Next to the arcade room is an indoor movie theater with a large screen and plenty of seating. You can also rent DVDs from the desk there.
Starbucks
There’s a Starbucks located right on-site for coffee lovers, so you seriously never need to leave the resort.
Market and Grill
There’s also a market and grill located next to the primary pool. The market sold things like swimsuits, sunglasses, toys, and toiletries. We ate at the grill several times, and enjoyed their sandwiches and pizzas.
Tennis Court
The WorldMark Indio also has tennis courts.
Spa
The resort is also home to the Indio Spa. You can book massages, facials, and more at the spa.
Shuffleboard
There’s a shuffleboard available at the resort.
Fitness Center
Finally, there’s a fitness center at the resort as well.
Location of the WorldMark Indio
The WorldMark Indio resort is located just 26 miles from Palm Springs and 7 miles from the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.
The resort is just 22 miles from Palm Spring International Airport (airport code PSP).
Once we landed in Palm Springs, we rented a car and easily drove to the WorldMark Indio. It was easy to find parking at the resort each day, and we appreciated having a car so we could drive to nearby destinations.
The WorldMark Indio is located adjacent to the Golf Club at Terra Lago. If you’re a golfer, the location of this resort doesn’t get any better!
Summary
Our visit to the WorldMark Indio was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had in a long time. Because there was so much to do on the property, we were able to spend lazy days without having to drive anywhere. We especially enjoyed all the family-friendly activities. The resort itself was just beautiful, and I loved walking around the property and enjoying its many water features.
