We visit Leavenworth multiple times every year, and over the years we’ve stayed at many of the town’s hotels and resorts. That firsthand experience has taught us that there isn’t one “best” hotel for every trip. The right choice depends on whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a family-friendly resort, a walkable downtown location, or a quiet retreat surrounded by nature.
Below, you’ll find our favorite Leavenworth hotels, based on our own stays and experiences. We’ve personally stayed at most of the hotels on this list, so we are able to offer our first-hand experience. These are our choices for the best hotels in Leavenworth!
Posthotel
Best for: Romantic getaways, couples, and relaxing spa weekends
Location: Downtown Leavenworth, secluded along the river
Pool & spa: Indoor/outdoor saltwater pool, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and plunge pools
Adults Only
The Posthotel is located in the center of downtown Leavenworth. The resort itself faces the Wenatchee river so it feels very secluded, yet you can still walk to all the restaurants and shops in downtown Leavenworth.
The Posthotel is an adults-only hotel that is wholly focused on one thing: relaxation. The hotel is beautifully designed and is filled with balconies, terraces, and alcoves. Breakfast, lunch, and evening dessert are all included in your stay. The rooms are spacious and filled with high-end luxury items. Our room had a fireplace and a large marble bathtub.
Our favorite part about the hotel is the Pool and Wellness Center, which consists of seven saunas and steam rooms, each with a unique decor. There’s also experience showers, plunge pools, hot tubs, and a very large indoor-outdoor saltwater pool.

Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort
Best for: Nature lovers, families, and a peaceful mountain getaway
Location: Along Icicle Road, about 10 minutes’ drive from downtown Leavenworth
Pool & spa: Seasonal outdoor pool, hot tub, sauna, and Aspen Leaf Day Spa
Family-friendly: Yes
The Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort is another one of our favorite hotels in Leavenworth. While the Posthotel is located downtown and is focused on relaxation, we love this resort because the hotel is much more focused on nature.
The resort consists of 67 acres in the alpine forest. It’s about a 10 minute drive from downtown Leavenworth, so it’s still easy to get into town. But once you’re on the property, there’s really no reason to leave. The resort has everything you need: a restaurant, cafe, bar, pool, sauna, library, play barn, organic garden, spa, and more. We especially enjoyed grabbing drinks from the bar and walking over to the library building. The staff built us a fire, and it was a cozy place to relax.

Enzian Inn
Best for: Families and travelers who want lots of amenities
Location: Just a short walk from downtown Leavenworth
Pool & amenities: Year-round indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, game room, sports court, and seasonal putting course
Family-friendly: Yes
The Enzian Inn is also located in downtown Leavenworth. It’s walkable to all the shops and restaurants, so it makes it a great place to stay if you want to spend a lot of time in the city of Leavenworth itself.
Our favorite thing about this hotel is the fact that it has a large indoor swimming pool. Not many of the hotels in Leavenworth have indoor swimming pools, so this makes it one of a few. If it’s raining or snowing, you can still swim! (This is a great option for families with young children!)
The Enzian Inn also has a professional putting course for miniature golf adjacent to its building. While you play golf, you might also see one of the resident goats on the other side of the fence!
If you stay at the Enzian Inn, you can also see a live alphorn performance at breakfast each morning. It doesn’t get more Bavarian than that!

Bavarian Lodge
Best for: Staying in the heart of downtown Leavenworth
Location: Directly across from the downtown village
Pool & amenities: Year-round heated outdoor pool, two hot tubs, complimentary breakfast, and on-site pub
Family-friendly: Yes
We stayed at the Bavarian Lodge over the summer for a quick stay before hiking Colchuck Lake, and we really loved this hotel. The Bavarian Lodge is located right off Highway 2 in the center of downtown Leavenworth. The hotel has four floors and 90 rooms. It’s one of the larger hotels in Leavenworth.
The hotel has a number of amenities, including an outdoor pool and two outdoor hot tubs.
Our favorite thing about this hotel was that many of the rooms have direct views of the Front Street Park and gazebo. If you want to watch the Christmas tree lighting from the comfort inside, many of the rooms offer that opportunity!
During our stay, the staff were especially friendly. When they found out we had to check-out very early in the morning, they packed us a to-go breakfast to make sure we wouldn’t be hungry. It was very thoughtful and we thought they really went the extra mile.

Icicle Village Resort
Best for: Families, kids, and resort-style amenities
Location: Just outside downtown Leavenworth, within walking distance of the village
Pool & amenities: Heated outdoor pool, hot tub, mini golf, game room, sports court, playground, and Alpine Spa
Family-friendly: Yes
The Icicle Village Resort is a great place to stay for anyone, but especially for large groups and families. They have lots of things to do on their property: miniature golf, swimming, dining, and a spa. The resort is located just a 12-minute walk from Front Street in downtown Leavenworth.
The resort has large condos which are perfect for families or longer stays. They also have options for pet-friendly rooms!
If you stay at the resort, you will have complimentary breakfast, parking, and WIFI throughout your stay. They have a lot of amenities that are family-friendly too, like a game room, playground and swing set, and picnic areas.
I’ve stayed at the Icicle Village Resort as a kid, and I loved playing there. The miniature golf course was super fun, and I also spent a lot of time in the game room.
