What to Bring to Snowflake Lane
The parade is outdoors, so be sure to bring weather-appropriate clothing. You’ll likely want to bring winter jackets, hats, gloves, and umbrellas if rain is in the weather forecast.
At the event, we saw vendors selling light-up wands and necklaces. If you want to save money, you can bring your own light-up accessories from home. We’ve also linked some below for your convenience! (Just click on the image below to be directed to the website for purchase.)
How to Get to Snowflake Lane
The parade takes place between Bellevue Square and Lincoln Square from NE 4th to NE 8th streets. The city blocks traffic every night to allow for the parade.
If you’re driving into Bellevue, allow extra time for rush hour traffic and parking.
Tip: When we went, the freeway exits into downtown Bellevue from I-405 were really backed up. If you qualify to use the carpool lane, you can take the express lane exit (NE 6th) into Bellevue.
Parking for Snowflake Lane
You can park at any of the parking garages near the mall. These include the Bellevue Square Garage and the Lincoln Square Parking Garage.

- Dates: November 26 – December 24, 2021
- Duration: 20 minutes

This year, the parade contained numerous floats with Christmas characters, a marching band, festive music, and lots of artificial snow. We even saw floats with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.
We recommend arriving 30 minutes prior to the parade starting on a weekday, and up to 45 minutes early on a weekend night. We arrived 5 minutes early on a Monday night and had great views of the parade. We weren’t in the first row, but we were able to see everything just fine. We didn’t mind holding our daughter up for the 20 minute show.
Tip: Make sure that you arrive to the parade early. Because the parade is only 20 minutes long, you’ll likely miss a good portion of it if you arrive late.
Where to Stand
You can stand anywhere on the sidewalks anywhere between Bellevue Square and Lincoln Square from NE 4th to NE 8th streets. We stood across from the Cheesecake Factory and liked that view just fine. We also saw people standing on the skybridge. Finally, you can also see the parade while dining at some of the restaurants along the route.
My sister-in-law invited us to Snowflake Lane and we had a blast! This was our first time attending the event. We ate dinner prior to the show and then walked over to the parade route. We arrived 5 minutes before the performance and stood on an upper sidewalk across from the Cheesecake Factory. Our two-year-old daughter absolutely loved watching the characters and dancing to the music. The artificial snow was a hit! We would definitely recommend this experience to others.
