Our Review of Salish Lodge & Spa: A Romantic Getaway
Last Updated on February 27, 2026 by Kelly
I’ve visited Snoqualmie Falls countless times over the years, but I always found myself wondering what it would be like to stay at the hotel perched above the waterfall. I live close enough to Snoqualmie Falls that I’ve never needed to stay the night, but after learning about Salish Lodge & Spa, my husband and I decided to have a winter staycation just to enjoy the hotel’s amenities.
We planned a full romantic getaway where we could enjoy the spa, dine at its award-winning restaurant, and soak in uninterrupted views of the waterfall. We even purchased access to the hotel’s luxurious Club 268 lounge. (Spoiler alert: It was worth every penny!) In this post, I’m sharing my full review of the hotel, our experience at the spa, and including lots of photos I took from our recent trip!
If you’re in a hurry, I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. I think it’s the perfect location for a romantic getaway or a girls’ spa trip. The things I liked best about this hotel were the spa, Club 268, and the views of Snoqualmie Falls.

Overview of Salish Lodge & Spa
Salish Lodge & Spa is located right at the top of the falls, so it has a commanding view of the 268-foot drop to the bottom! The lodge is also only a 30-minute drive from Seattle, which makes it easily reachable for locals and tourists alike.
The lodge has 86 guest rooms, which allowed for a more boutique experience. During our entire stay, I never felt like the hotel was crowded or that we were rushed. In fact, it felt like we often had much of the hotel to ourselves. We stayed the night on a Sunday evening, so it’s possible that it wasn’t as busy as expected for a Friday or a Saturday night. Regardless, the hotel was very quiet and we had a truly relaxing night away from home.
Because of this, I think the hotel is best suited for adults looking for a restorative luxury experience. I didn’t see any children during our stay, but they are certainly welcome. Just be advised that from my experience, the hotel is generally pretty quiet. We decided to not bring our children so we could have a peaceful escape to enjoy the spa, sauna, and steam room.
Importantly, the nightly fee comes with a welcome beverage and valet parking. It was a relaxing check-in experience! We also were allowed to check-in early at no extra fee. This allowed us to access the Club 268 lounge early (additional nightly fee) and enjoy the spa amenities before our official check-in time. Definitely a great way to start our trip!

The Location Can’t Be Beat!
The hotel is quite literally steps away from Snoqualmie Falls. Within one-minute of walking outside the main entrance, we were already on the overlook and observing the falls.

We also had a view of the river above the falls from our room, with a slight view of the very top of the falls. From the dining room, we were able to see Snoqualmie Falls as well.

There are multiple viewing areas to see the falls: the upper deck and the lower deck. Be sure to see my full guide to Snoqualmie Falls to see photos of both viewing areas! Don’t skip the boardwalk to see the lower deck, because the view is awesome!
Room Tour
We booked a night in the Spa Level River View King, with the additional Club 268 access so we could enjoy the exclusive lounge and spa amenities. For a Sunday evening in January, our total with taxes and fees was $581.
The best part about this room was that it came with access to the spa (more on that below!). It was definitely worth the additional cost, because we spent hours cycling through the hot tub, steam room, and sauna.
We also had a view of the river and the very top of the falls (as posted in the photo earlier).

We were able to get a more affordable rate because it was off-season and on a Sunday night. Prices are obviously subject to change, but I share them so you have a sense of how much we spent.

Our room had high ceilings, a large double shower, a balcony, comfortable bedding, and a gas fireplace. Our room didn’t have a soaking tub, but some of the rooms at the lodge did. We didn’t miss it because we used the soaking pool at the spa.
I especially enjoyed having our own fireplace for our winter stay. One of my favorite parts of our trip was relaxing in our room, buried under the covers, and just laying in bed with the fireplace on. It was so cozy!
Another nice touch? A box of chocolates upon arrival. 10/10!

Club 268 – Is It Worth It?
If you have the opportunity to book Club 268, I highly recommend it! It is worth every penny, and we have no regrets with the extra cost to our room fee.
Club 268 is named after the 268-foot-drop of Snoqualmie Falls. Booking a room that includes the Club 268 access is worth the price for two reasons:
- You get access to the exclusive lounge
- You get to use the spa facilities
The Lounge at Club 268
The lounge is located right by the front desk, and you need to use your room key to enter. In the foyer of the lounge you’ll find a fully-stocked snack station. During our visit, it was stocked with nuts, energy bites, and chocolate pretzels. They also included little paper bags so you could easily pack a snack to take to-go to your room or for a hike down to the falls.

After passing through the foyer, there’s a large wood-burning fireplace, a big screen TV, books, board games, and comfortable seating. (Lots of oversized arm chairs!)
There’s also a mini-fridge that is stocked with all sorts of non-alcoholic drinks, including bottled water, sparkling water, soda, and juices. There was also lots of refrigerated snacks, including yogurt, cheese sticks, and hardboiled eggs. On the top counter, there was a coffee and tea station, along with non-perishable snack options (e.g., bags of chips).
The lounge also includes hot plates and a meal service during specified hours. During our visit, there was a charcuterie station and craft cocktails available from 4-7pm. We each tried a cocktail (so yummy!) and had enough of the charcuterie to fill us up.

In addition to cheese, meat, fruit, and crackers, they had hors d’oeuvres that were often replenished. We especially liked the steak and polenta bites!

In the morning, the lounge served a comprehensive breakfast. My husband ordered a full English breakfast and I ordered a pumpkin spice waffle off of a pre-set menu. There was also a full array of breakfast pastries, bagels, smoked salmon, and fresh fruit. On the weekends, they offer Mimosas and a Bloody Mary Bar.
We ate sooo well at the lounge! My husband kept saying “This is the best – We should always do this.”

Spa Access with Club 268
In addition to the beverages, snacks, and meals, Club 268 also comes with access to the spa.
On our first afternoon, we took full advantage of the hot tub, steam room, and sauna. We spent the entire afternoon in our bath robes! There was no one else there when we visited on a Sunday afternoon – we were surprised to have it to ourselves!
Because the hotel has a fairly late check-out time (12pm), we also were able to go to the spa again the next morning. We felt so relaxed, and we are already wanting to go back!

My final verdict: Access to Club 268 is definitely worth it. If you’re on the fence, I recommend you purchase a room with this feature! The final cost of the Club 268 access for our stay was about $100-$150 more in comparison to an alternative room (depending on which room we were comparing it to). The cost included the cocktails, appetizers, breakfast, and spa access for both of us, so we felt like it was well worth it! (Plus we had a balcony with a view of the river and hydro plant!)
Dining
The Lounge
The Lounge is located right at the main entrance. The bar is beautiful and there are lots of nooks with comfortable seating. We didn’t dine here because we had Club 268, but it looked like a really nice place to relax and grab a drink.

The Restaurant
We made reservations for window seating at The Restaurant. My favorite part of this experience was the edible candle! The candle is made of olive oil and coconut oil (to my understanding). As it burns, the oils melt and mix with the garlic. It was a really unique and tasty experience!
We were very full from our appetizers at Club 268, so we had a light meal at The Restaurant. My husband had the Washington Onion Soup (similar to a French onion soup but made with Washington onions). It was really tasty! I ordered the Local Tagliatelle, which was filled with TONS of fresh Dungeness crab. The waitress also gave us both a complimentary glass of champagne. Even though we didn’t order much (one soup and one entree), our total with tip was about $100. This is an expensive restaurant, but I thought it’s worth it for a special occasion or a date night!

Terrace Bar
We didn’t have drinks at the Terrace Bar, but maybe next time! The setting was really beautiful, and I think it would be a fun spot for a pre-dinner drink or a late night date.

The Cafe and Coffee Bar
At the Visitors Center, you can grab a freshly brewed coffee or a pastry. It’s perfect for a quick breakfast on the go!
View of Snoqualmie Falls
Last but certainly not least, the views of Snoqualmie Falls were incredible. My dad used to work near Snoqualmie, so I would often make a stop at the falls after a visit. Seeing the falls truly never gets old… it’s magnificent each time!
During this stay, we visited the falls early in the morning. The upper deck was closed due to icy conditions. If you’re planning a trip to the falls during the winter, it’s worth making sure the viewing decks are open.

Even with the upper deck closed, though, I was still able to get this view of the falls.

If you’re a fan of the show Twin Peaks, this view will look very familiar!
Tips For Your Stay
Here’s my tips for the perfect night away:
- Book the Spa Level River View King with Club 268 access
- Make dining reservations at The Restaurant in advance
- Request early check-in if available
- Visit both the Upper Viewing Deck and the Lower Viewing Deck
- Pack your swimsuit for the spa
- Book spa treatments in advance
Summary
Salish Lodge & Spa is the perfect luxury stay in the Pacific Northwest. It’s the perfect place to visit any time of year. My husband and I talked about making this an annual tradition. Our stay was deeply restorative and it was nice to have time to reconnect. We really didn’t have to think about a thing or even leave the property. We will be back!
